Welcome to Stamford Park Infant School
from Mrs McDowell, Head Teacher
We care, we share, we learn, we grow, together.
I am pleased to welcome you and your child to Stamford Park Infant School.
As our mission statement says, Stamford Park Infant School is a place where we care, we share, we learn and we grow together. It is an exciting place to be, full of happy and hardworking children and enthusiastic, dedicated staff who provide lots of stimulating activities.
We believe that Every Child Matters and learning at our school is fun and exciting, challenging and rewarding. We offer a warm and caring environment which enables children to feel happy, safe, valued and secure as they grow, learn and develop.
The first years in school are the most important, helping to shape children’s attitudes to learning and school. We hope that by the time your child leaves our school he or she is happy, motivated and ready for the next stage of their journey through education.
Our school is proud to offer our children an outstanding learning experience as recognised by Ofsted.
Local families have been sending their children to our happy, friendly school for generations and it enjoys a special place at the heart of this community.
Today’s teachers, governors and parents are proud to share in that tradition, and are working hard to inspire our children and give them the best foundations for life: independent learning, self-expression, physical activity (see our Sports Premium page), good behaviour and sociability.
Current parents can use it to find out more about what is happening day to day across the school and in each classroom (via Classroom Corner) as the terms progress. Why not bookmark us now.

Today we had a music assembly for KS1. Mr Harding, from Trafford Music Services, talked about all the different lessons on offer.
The staff now have new P.E. kits, including jackets and polo shirts, so we all match doing PE like the children!
The children are enjoying the after school Tennis Club in the sunshine. They are taught various skills and have the chance to practise them. We have been making use of our lovely new all weather turf area!
We are learning about our local area in Geography and we are reading ‘MeerKat Mail’ in Literacy. The children wrote a postcard and we walked to the post office to post them. On Thursday we are visiting the delivery office to see what happens to our postcards once we have posted them. 12►
The children entered a competition in class to design a new front cover for ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl…these children were the winners. They included a picture relevant to the story, a large colourful title and told me who the author and illustrator was. Well done!
The Year 2s have begun to learn valuable Football skills, which they are using to work together with their friends to try and win matches. This will take place on a Wednesday morning until October half term.
